Inactivity Reminder Motor Beeping | Foil Drive AppUpdated 2 months ago
The new Foil Drive App software update comes with two important new features. Start Up Activity Alarm and Inactivity Alarm.
Start Up - Activity Alarm
On startup (battery connection) the motor will deliberately pulse back and forth making an audible noise to indicate the system is active. This feature is ON from factory and cannot be turned OFF. If your motor shows any behaviour other than described on start-up, this is not typical and troubleshooting should be followed, click here.
Inactivity Alarm
The inactivity alarm allows customers to set an Inactivity Alarm timer as a reminder to unplug the battery when not in use.
The App software update rolled out in December 2024, now featuring an Inactivity Reminder that makes the motor oscillate to create a beeping alarm sound after a period of throttle trigger inactivity.
This serves as a reminder that your unit is powered on with the battery connected.
From factory, the motor will pulse back and forth if left plugged in and unused for 15 minutes. This timer can be adjusted or turned off in the Advanced Settings of the APP. If the throttle is engaged, the timer will restart once at 0% throttle, or the controller is turned off.
The user is responsible to remove the battery immediately after use, this is an added reminder only. If your motor shows any behaviour other than described on start-up, this is not typical and troubleshooting should be followed, click here.
Important
Always remove your battery immediately after use and never store your battery inside the unit.
It is NOT recommended to turn off or disable the Inactivity Reminder.
