Replacing the Box Lid | Gen1Updated 4 months ago
The box lids are easily replaced if they get worn, damaged, bent, broken or lost.
You'll Need:
- Some muscle, but some care also
Process:
1. Remove old lid from box
Inspect the lid hinges to understand the direction you need to pull the lid away from the box.
With the lid almost fully open, work on one hinge at a time.
2. Inspect new lid
Ensure lid, hinge, latches and seal are not bent, damaged or have a moulding defect of any type.
3. Replace lid with new one
Placing the open section of the lid hinge over the bar on the box and pushing down one hinge at a time.
4. Test close the lid and latches
Check for a solid tension when the latch is snapped closed.
5. Perform a "dunk test" to ensure the box water tightness
If you are not comfortable performing these tasks, you can of course contact [email protected] or your local dealer to arrange to send your motor to one of our authorised repair centres for a service.
