Battery Power Output ON/OFF ControlUpdated an hour ago
Gen2.5 batteries feature a Power ON/OFF control that allows you to turn the battery output OFF while the battery remains connected to the Foil Drive system.
This feature is particularly useful for trench board users who want to prepare their system ahead of time, such as setting up the night before a session, without unnecessarily draining the battery.
Important: This feature is not available on Gen2 Max and SLIM batteries.
How It Works
When the battery output is turned OFF through the Foil Drive App, the battery can remain physically connected to the system without supplying power.
This allows you to prepare your Foil Drive system in advance while helping preserve battery charge until you're ready to ride.
Using the Power OFF Function
- Install the Fusion Battery into your Foil Drive system.
- Open the Foil Drive App and connect to your system.
- Select Power OFF to turn the battery output off.
- Leave the battery connected while completing your setup.
- When you're ready to ride, turn the battery ON again through the App.
- Confirm the system is operating correctly before entering the water.
Important Battery Safety
The Power OFF function is the only circumstance where the Gen2.5 Battery should be left connected to the system when it is not in use.
Never leave the battery connected and switched ON when the Foil Drive system is not being used.
Leaving the battery connected and ON can cause excessive battery drain and may permanently damage the battery.
If your Foil Drive system will not be used for an extended period, disconnect the battery from the system and follow the recommended battery storage and care procedures.
Example: Preparing a Trench Board the Night Before
If you're preparing your trench board the night before a session:
Night before
- Install the Fusion Battery.
- Connect the battery to the system.
- Open the Foil Drive App.
- Select Power OFF.
- Complete your board setup and leave the battery connected.
Before your session
- Open the Foil Drive App.
- Turn the battery ON.
- Check that the system is functioning correctly.
- You're ready to ride.
Remember: Battery connected + Power OFF = OK for pre-session setup.
Battery connected + Power ON + system not in use = Do not do this.
