Unifoil Aluminium Integrated MastUpdated 2 hours ago

Foil Drive and Unifoil have collaborated to create an integrated mast that combines Unifoil's high-performance foil platform with the benefits of Foil Drive electric assistance.

The collaboration grew from the experience of Unifoil team riders Erik Antonson and Paul Cooper, who tested and refined their setups across different conditions to maximise performance, efficiency and ride feel.

The result is a stiff, lightweight and hydrodynamically efficient aluminium mast designed to unlock the performance of Unifoil wings while giving riders the flexibility of Foil Drive Assist or eFoil.

Unifoil Integrated Aluminium Mast

Built through years of testing and refinement, the Unifoil Aluminium Mast provides a high-performance alternative at a more accessible price point while maintaining the stiffness and responsiveness required for performance foiling.

The mast profile has been refined to minimise drag, with the maximum thickness moved towards the rear of the profile to improve hydrodynamic efficiency and speed.

Key Features

  • Precision-extruded aluminium construction
  • Stiff and lightweight performance
  • Hydrodynamically refined profile
  • Maximum thickness moved backwards for reduced drag
  • Stainless steel inserts for increased strength
  • Designed to complement the high-performance Unifoil wing range
  • Available with multiple Foil Drive Motor Pod positions

Choose Your Motor Position

The Unifoil Integrated Mast is available in several Motor Pod positions, allowing you to choose the setup that best matches your riding style.

Important: Motor position is fixed once the mast is manufactured and cannot be changed. Select your preferred position carefully when ordering.

Motor Mounted at 15cm

For riders who want the motor for quick lift, then out of the way for pure free-foiling.

The 15 cm position is ideal for riders who primarily use Foil Drive to get onto foil before transitioning to unpowered riding.

Motor Mounted at 20–25cm

For slightly longer bursts of power across surf, wing, downwind and wake.

These positions provide a versatile balance between powered assistance and free-foiling, while keeping the motor relatively unobtrusive once you're flying.

Motor Mounted at 70cm / E-Foil

Motor mounted near the fuselage, perfect for leisure riding and learning to foil.

The low Motor Pod position is designed for continuous powered riding, providing a stable and predictable platform for eFoil sessions and riders developing their foil skills.
