Replacing the TriggersUpdated an hour ago
The triggers in the V2 Controller can be replaced if they become damaged or require servicing.
The current replacement triggers are fully sealed around the magnet, helping protect the magnet from water and oxygen and reducing the risk of corrosion.

What You’ll Need
- Replacement V2 Controller trigger
- Small Phillips screwdriver
Important: The controller must be opened to replace the triggers. Take care not to damage the internal wiring or components during disassembly.
Replacing the Trigger
- Turn the controller off and ensure it is disconnected from the Foil Drive system.
- Remove the screws from the controller housing and carefully open the controller.
- Locate the trigger that needs to be replaced.
- Gently lift the trigger off the post, pulling vertically - Do not wriggle or bend as this will snap the post!
- Install the replacement trigger in the same position and orientation as the original.
Important: Watch the video to learn how to distinguish what spring is used on each trigger - Check that the trigger moves freely through its full range without scraping or contacting the surrounding plastic.
- Position the side panel on the controller, ensuring the antenna is recessed in the controller, and carefully close the controller housing.
- Reinstall and tighten the housing screws.
Check Trigger Operation
After replacing the trigger, turn the controller on and check that:
- The trigger moves freely.
- The throttle responds correctly when the trigger is pulled.
- The trigger returns smoothly to its resting position.
- There is no scraping or interference inside the controller.
Trigger Calibration
After replacing a trigger, the controller may need to be recalibrated to ensure the new trigger's full range of movement is correctly detected.

Note: If the replacement trigger does not move freely or the controller does not calibrate, stop using the controller and contact Foil Drive Support for assistance.
