The North SONAR AF80 Foil Drive Integrated Mast is the first aluminium mast developed through the Foil Drive x North collaboration.
Designed as an incredibly versatile all-rounder, the AF80 combines the stiffness and durability of an aluminium mast with a fully integrated Foil Drive Motor Pod.
Whether you're looking for quick powered lift before switching to pure free-foiling, short bursts of assistance through surf and downwind conditions, or a stable platform for learning and leisure riding, the AF80 offers a motor position to suit your style.
Choose Your Motor Position
The AF80 Integrated Mast is available with three fixed Motor Pod positions.
Motor Mounted at 15cm
For riders who want the motor for quick lift, then out of the way for pure free-foiling.
The 15 cm position keeps the motor higher on the mast, making it ideal for riders who primarily want Foil Drive assistance to get up and riding before enjoying the glide and feel of unpowered foiling.
Motor Mounted at 20cm
For slightly longer bursts of power across surf, wing, downwind and wake.
The 20 cm position provides a versatile balance between powered assistance and free-foiling, making it an excellent choice for riders who regularly use Foil Drive across multiple disciplines.
Motor Mounted at 70cm / E-Foil
Motor mounted near the fuselage, perfect for leisure riding and learning to foil.
The low Motor Pod position is designed for dedicated powered riding, providing a stable and predictable setup for riders learning to foil or enjoying relaxed e-Foil sessions.
