The Foil Drive Gen2 battery range gives Assist MAX riders the flexibility to choose the right balance of capacity, weight, performance, responsiveness and portability for the way they ride.
From the lightweight MAX Sport through to the high-capacity MAX High Power and travel-ready MAX Travel Battery, each battery is designed to deliver reliable power in a compact, water-resistant package.

MAX High Power Battery
The Pinnacle of Performance and Technology
The MAX High Power Battery is the ultimate evolution of the Foil Drive High Power battery range, designed exclusively for the Assist MAX System.
Using advanced battery technology, it delivers 594 Wh of capacity in the same compact size as the MAX Power Battery, with only around 100 g of additional weight.
More Capacity. More Runtime.
With 594 Wh, the MAX High Power Battery provides over 19% more capacity than the 498.69 Wh MAX Power Battery, giving you longer ride times and more time on foil.
When combined with the High Power Motor, the additional battery capacity works alongside the motor's increased efficiency to provide up to 40–45% more runtime compared with the standard MAX Power and Motor combination.
MAX Power Battery (Discontinued)
The MAX Power Battery offers a balance of capacity and weight for riders looking for extended runtime without moving to the larger High Power option.

MAX Sport Battery
The MAX Sport Battery is the smaller and lighter battery option for Assist MAX riders who prioritise weight reduction and responsiveness over maximum runtime.

The reduced battery mass can make the MAX setup feel more responsive underfoot, helping with take-off, turning, pumping and connecting waves.

MAX Sport 396 High Power Battery
The MAX Sport 396 High Power Battery offers a unique balance of reduced weight, increased capacity and a more responsive ride feel.
With its smaller physical size, it helps reduce the mass and swing weight at the front of the Foil Drive unit. This can make the board feel more lively and easier to:
- Turn and redirect
- Pump between sections
- Unweight
- Take off
- Connect waves
- Maintain a natural feel through turns
With 396 Wh of capacity, it also provides increased runtime compared with the original MAX Sport Battery.

MAX Travel Battery
Take Your Foil Drive With You
The MAX Travel Battery allows you to travel with your Foil Drive gear and take a battery with you to your favourite riding destination.
Designed specifically with airline travel in mind, the battery breaks down into three smaller sections:

With just a few screws, the three sections can be quickly and easily reassembled into a complete battery for storage, charging and use.
Once assembled, the MAX Travel Battery provides approximately 350 Wh of capacity (9 Ah), giving it slightly more capacity and runtime than the MAX Sport Battery.
Assist Mode Only
Can the MAX Travel Battery be used for e-foiling or constant power?
No. The MAX Travel Battery is designed for Assist mode only and is not suitable for continuous-powered e-foiling.
Water & Dust Protection
All Gen2 Foil Drive batteries, are rated IP68 rated for increased protection against water and dust.
