Cruise Control allows you to maintain a pre-set throttle percentage without continuously holding the trigger.

Once activated, the controller commands the motor to operate at your chosen throttle setting until Cruise Control is cancelled.

Cruise Control is designed for riders who want a consistent power output during longer cruises or flat-water riding.

Important: Cruise Control is only available in Throttle Mode. It does not operate in Gear Mode.

How does Cruise Control work?

Cruise Control works much like the cruise control in a car.

Instead of maintaining a vehicle speed, the controller maintains a fixed throttle percentage.

For example:

• Set Cruise Control to 45%
• Activate Cruise Control while riding
• The motor will continue operating at 45% throttle
• You no longer need to hold the trigger at that position

Remember that Cruise Control maintains motor power, not board speed. Your speed will still vary depending on wind, swell, current, foil size and rider weight.

Setting the Cruise Control Percentage

Cruise Control is configured in Menu 10 on the V3 Controller.

By default, Cruise Control is set to OFF.

To configure it:

1. Navigate to Menu 10 – Cruise Control.
2. Press the B button to edit the setting.
3. Use the + or – buttons to select your desired throttle percentage.
4. Press the B button again to save your selection.

The selected percentage will remain stored until you change it.

How to Activate Cruise Control

Cruise Control can only be activated when:

• The controller is connected to your Foil Drive.
• You are using Trigger Mode.
• The trigger is pulled more than 20%.
• A Cruise Control percentage has been configured.

To activate Cruise Control:

1. Pull the trigger past approximately 20%.
2. Press and hold the – (minus) button.
3. The controller will automatically switch to your preset Cruise Control percentage.
4. Release the trigger.

The motor will continue operating at the preset throttle percentage.

Why do I need to pull the trigger first?

Requiring a trigger pull greater than 20% helps prevent Cruise Control from being activated accidentally if the – button is pressed unintentionally.

How to Cancel Cruise Control

Cruise Control can be cancelled immediately at any time.

The following actions will deactivate Cruise Control:

• Touching the trigger.
• Pressing the + button.
• Pressing the – button.
• Pressing the B button.
• Changing menus.

Once cancelled, the controller returns to normal manual throttle operation.

Cruise Control and the Tilt Sensor

If the Tilt Sensor is enabled and you fall off while Cruise Control is active:

• The board will continue receiving the Cruise Control command while it remains within wireless range.
• Once the board exceeds the configured tilt angle, the motor automatically shuts down.
• If the board later returns upright, the motor will not automatically restart.

To ride again, you must:

1. Cancel Cruise Control.
2. Return the throttle to 0%.
3. Reactivate Cruise Control if required.

This behaviour is an intentional safety feature designed to prevent unexpected motor operation after a fall.

When should I use Cruise Control?

Cruise Control is best suited to situations where you want consistent motor power over longer distances.

Typical uses include:

• Flat-water cruising
• Travelling between waves
• Downwind transitions
• Long-distance rides
• Reducing finger fatigue

Cruise Control is generally not recommended when riding surf, navigating crowded areas or performing technical manoeuvres where frequent throttle adjustments are required.
