• The nose cone sits flush against the Electronics Box.

Important: If the nose cone is not sitting flush, do not use the latches to force it closed. Remove the nose cone and check for an incorrectly seated battery, debris or an obstructed O-ring.

How to Close the Latches Correctly

Step 1 – Insert the Battery

Slide the battery fully into the Electronics Box until it is completely seated.

A partially inserted battery can prevent the nose cone from fitting correctly and may compromise the watertight seal.

Step 2 – Fit the Nose Cone

Place the nose cone onto the Electronics Box and confirm that:

• It sits evenly around the entire housing.
• The O-ring remains correctly positioned.
• The nose cone is flush before attempting to latch it.

If there is a noticeable gap, remove the nose cone and inspect the battery position and sealing surfaces.

Step 3 – Engage Both Latches

Lift both latches and hook them into the recesses on the nose cone.

Ensure:

• Each latch is fully engaged.
• Both latches are ready to close before applying pressure.

Do not fully close one latch before engaging the other.

Apply even pressure to both latches and close them at the same time.
