Cruise control trigger controlling throttle speed on V1 Foil Drive Controller
If you find the cruise control trigger is unexpectedly controlling the throttle percentage on your V1 controller, you may have accidently changed the Throttle Mode to ESK8. Follow these instructions below to restore your controller to the correct settings.
THROTTLE MODE | RE-SET FROM ESK8 TO SURF
This video is for Assist V1.18 Controllers ONLY - To check, turn on your controller and the version number appears on the startup screen.
WIRELESS CONTROLLER FEATURES
1. Power button
2. Throttle trigger
3. Cruise control trigger
Instructions:
1. To open the menu, hold down cruise control trigger (3) and press and hold power button (1)
2. Select Option 1. Throttle Mode by pressing and holding the power button (1)
3. Quick tap power button (1), so arrow drops down to 'Surfboard'.
4. Hold and press power button (1) until the asterisks (*) appears next to 'Surfboard' mode.
5. Exit pressing the trigger button (3) twice to exit both menus.
6. Test triggers:
- Cruise control should not adjust percentage.
- Throttle trigger should operate as normal.
Note: You may now need to re-calibrate your triggers. Click here to learn how.
If you carry out this procedure and your controller is still not working properly, try a factory re-set. Follow the instructions in this video (Disregard that it is for the newer controller, the steps are the same).
